久しぶりの給油

今日、自家用のニッサンエルグランドに、久しぶりにガソリンを入れた。考えて見ると、震災後、初めての給油である。

満タンだった３月１１日の震災の日、社員を送ったり１０時間運転し、ほぼガソリンは無くなっていた。

それから、１週間から２週間は、都内は、ガソリンの給油を待つ長蛇の列で、なかなか給油できなかった。　結果、焦ることは無く、1カ月もすれば、並ぶことなく入られるものだ。

焦って買いだめをする人が多い最近だが、ゆっくり待つ気持ちも必要だ。

Essoの『Speedpaｓｓ』！

Essoで、ガソリンを入れていると、店員の人に、「スピードパス（Speedpass）」を勧められた。

これは、キーホルダーになっているタグをかざすだけでガソリンが入れられる。支払いができるものである。

セルフスタンドなどで、ガソリンを入れる時に、読み取りリーダーにかざすだけで、指定したクレジットカードから、支払いができるものである。

確かに、カードを忘れたとか、現金が足りないとかいったときは、非常に便利である。

手続きが簡単なので、すぐに申し込んだ。

確かに、このサービスは結構前から知ってはいたが、あまり気にしていなかった。

今回は、技術的な視点からみたら、すぐに使ってみたくなり、申しこんだ。

RFIDテクノロジ

今回の『Speedpass』の技術は、アメリカのTI（Texas Insrutument）社のコンタクトレスRFテクノロジである。

非接触型で、近距離の無線通信を行う。

このサイトの「1997 Wireless Commerce」のところにあるものだ。実は現在、ほとんどの方が日常、実際に使っているものだ。

私も何年か前に、沖縄の那覇マラソンの時に、ゼッケンにICタグが付けてあったのを思い出した。スタートラインや５kmライン、10kmライン、・・・というように、所々にリーダーがある。参加者は何も気にせず走るだけ、どこまで通過したか、何分何秒で通過したかがすぐに解る。

非常に面白いものだ。　アメリカのウォールマートというスーパーでも使われたのは話題になった（ちょっと古すぎる話）。

技術は、古いがこれは、どう使うか?　そのビジネスは、アイデア、発想勝負である。

Androidの2.3から、NFC（Near Field Communications）も、サポートし始めた、この非接触型の無線通信の用途は広まる一方だ。

アイデア、アイデア・・・！

こんなアイデアを提案したことがあった

以前、私はICタグがどこまで進むのかと疑問に思ったことがあった。JRのSuicaやEdyなど、電子マナーの用途は、大きなマーケットではある。

しかしこのタグは、近距離でも無線通信であり、回路が必要だ。　確かにICチップで非常に小さくできる。

でも、海で遊んでいるとき持ち歩くのは不便だ。　タグが落ちてしまったり、無くしてしまうかも知れない。

そこで私は、絶対に落としたり、無くしたりしないものを考えた。

それが「指紋マネー」だ。あらかじめ指紋を登録すると同時に、お金を前払いでプリペード方式でも良い、クレジットカードと連携し、カード払いでも良い。

何も持たずに、身体さえあれば、海で泳いでいても落とすことはない。

海の家で食事したり、買い物をするときは、指紋をリーダーにかざすだけで支払いができる。

さすがに、サメに襲われて食べられてしまったらおしまいだ。

こんなアイデアを、沖縄県の座間味島という世界的にダイビングスポットでは有名な離島に持って行った時があった。村の役場の方々や商工会議所の方々など、説明をした。

まぁ、いろいろあって実現できなかったけど、　ビジネス、そしてテクノロジには、アイデアが重要だと言うことだ！

ん？　指紋って技術？　身体についてるもの・・・

その指紋を認証するところが高度な技術である。この指紋の認証方式も沢山ある。
