展示会場、先頭のマイクロソフト戦略

アメリカ、カリフォルニア州のサンフランシスコで開催している「Web2.0 EXPO」展示会場に入ると、一番最初に目に入ってくるのがマイクロソフトのブースだった。

出展しているものは、Windows７、Windows Mobile、Silverlight、Windows Azureである。

マイクロソフトの戦略がそのまま表現されている。

『Windows７』は、Vistaの評判のせいかなのか、「XP」から、「Vista」の実用化を飛び越し「７」にいくと言うのか？「Vista」のマイナス面を吸収している感じがする。

『Windows Mobile』は、その数はどんどん増えてきている気がする。マックやGoogleに負けないように、あらゆる面で勝負に出てる気がする。シリコンバレーに来て、ちょっと寂しさを感じるのは、Google者である。ここ最近、退職者がどんどん増えているようではあるが、もう飽和状態なのだろうか。行き詰まりなのだろうか？Mobile OSで言えば、Googleのアンドロイドがどうしても遅れを取っているように見える。

『Silverlight』『Windows Azure』、来た、「マイクロソフトのクラウドコンピューティング」ってかんじがする。PaaSと言えば良いのだろうか。重い開発環境は、自分のPCにつくろうなんて、もう苦労することないのだろうか。

Windows Azure上で開発して、SaaSの提供というビジネスになるんだろうと思われる。

もうひとつ、人を集めていたのがこれ。写真じゃ見にくいかもしれないが、人が集まり過ぎて、上手く写真が撮れなかった。

ガラスのテーブルがＰＣのモニターだ。いや、マウスパッドでもあり、キーボードでもある。テーブルの上で、手を自由自在に動かすことで、パソコンを自由に操作している。全く、次世代のコンピューティングだ。宇宙映画のような感じもした。

頑張ってる「レキサス」日本企業

日本の沖縄から、このサンフランシスコのWeb2.0 EXPOに出展している企業がある。株式会社レキサスだ。Web2.0を用いたSaaSモデルのソリューションだ。

この会社、社長はもちろんだが、社員が一人一人がすごく、IT業界の流れを勉強している。日本の中小企業で、社員全体がここまで、世の中のＩＴ業界の流れを意識し行動している会社は本当に珍しい。

夜、社員の方々と食事をご一緒させてもらったが、前向きな討論がばかりで本当に素晴らしいと思った。この展示会の出展にあたり、アメリカの業界の動向や英語の勉強会を毎日やってきたそうである。

是非、頑張ってほしい、応援します。

弊社の社員も負けないように頑張らないと！　社員が一緒に高い意識を持てば、このアメリカで勝負していきたい。

視察の重要性を再認識！

今回もこの展示会でたくさんのことを学んだ。気がつかせてもらった。

不景気に悩まされて、動けないでいると、どん底に落ちていくように思った。

こんな時期だからこそ、どんどん勝負にでないといけない気がする。
