ジョルスは「Webサイト運営業務」として、コンテンツ更新/技術設計/プロモーションなど各種提案を行っている。当然各サイトのページビューを見ているのだが、ふと思ったのが「RSSリーダーが流行るとページビューは減る？」ということ。
最近の住吉のWebチェック行動は、
- RSS対応サイトは、更新状況一覧を見て、更新されているようならクリック。見出し情報を読み、気になる情報があったら実サイトに行き記事を読む。
- RSS非対応サイトは、お気に入りから順番に見に行く。更新されている情報があれば詳細を読む。
という感じ。RSS対応サイトは、見出しだけ読んで「ふ～ん」と知った気分に。
RSSに対応することで、「非対応だから見に来ない（忘れた）」という結果にはならないが、1訪問あたりのページビュー数は減る傾向にあるような。
「Webサイトはページビュー数だけじゃないですよ」とお客さんに説明するためにも、検証しておく必要あるかな～。
