私が行なった講演を何回かに分けて紹介してきました。今回が講演の最終回です。私の考えること、日本システムデザインの目指す方向などを、少しでも理解してもらえると嬉しいです。

(10)グローバル社会で変わる生活

講演の最後に、少し世の中の話をいたします。

今、日本全体でグローバル化が進んでいます。近隣諸国、例えばお隣の中国・韓国から、中近東のインドまで、経済におけるグローバル化・一体化が進んでいるという状況があります。

私の会社の業界、コンピュータソフトウェア開発業界でも、中国の会社が日本のソフト会社を買いはじめている、という状況がはじまっています。そのような買収が進むと、日本の会社は今後どうなっていくのか。われわれはもっともっと頑張らないといけないと思います。すでに日本は、近隣諸国からすぐ手の届くところまで追い上げられてきております。

(11)串良のみんなが考えてほしいこと

このことは、逆に考えると「世界が近づいている」ということでもあります。これからは鹿屋市串良から情報発信をして、串良から日本全国に情報を伝えていき、そしてまた串良から近隣諸国へ情報を伝えていくということがあってもいいのではないでしょうか。串良あるいは鹿屋から世界に情報を発信できるような町にしていけたらいいなと思っております。

このグローバル化の社会の中で、10年先20年先にはますます近隣諸国と一体化した経済が動き、政治が動くという時代になっていきます。みなさんが20年後に何をしているかが問題です。20年後は、みなさんが社会の中で一番中心になって活躍している時代、いや一番活躍しなければいけない時代、そして近隣諸国と仕事を一緒にやらなければいけない時代になっているでしょう。もはや日本人だけで物事を考える時代ではなくなっているということです。

このような時代にみなさんは生きていくわけですから、もっともっと視野を広く考えて、これからの世の中がどうあるべきなのかを考えなければなりません。今までは日本の中で生きていけば何とかなった時代ですが、今はちがいます。今みなさんが着ているもの、ふだんの生活の中で使っているものは半分以上が近隣諸国で作ったものなのです。

みなさんは20年後には35歳、社会の中で一番活躍しなければならない年齢です。その時代には、ぜひみなさんに頑張っていただかなければなりません。これからの中学校生活の中で、ぜひとも目標を明確に持ち、習慣化して目標について考えてみてください。それが成功につながっていく、ということが分かっていただけると思います。

今日の60周年記念で、みなさんを応援させていただけたことを非常にありがたく思っております。今後70周年、80周年と続き、串良町・鹿屋市が今後ますます発展することを祈念いたしまして、私の講演とさせていただきます。今日は本当にありがとうございました。

    梅北社長、大変参考になるお話を読みました。ありがとうございます。串良中の生徒は、いい話を聞けて幸せだと思います。私も鹿屋中の時にこんな良い話を聞けたらどうだっただろうなと考えますが、今からでも遅くは無いでしょうから、私もまだまだ頑張ります。また、私の尊敬する島津日新歳忠良が「日新公記」（集成館にて購入）の中で「自分の進むべき方向を良く知り、それを目標にして頑張る人にだけ天は機会を与える」と言っています。1500年頃の話です。感動しました。
