2011年7月27日に急逝したレイ・ハラカミ氏を偲ぶ「暗やみの色」特別上映が、9月1日～10月2日に日本科学未来館で行われている。

以下、公式サイトより引用。

プラネタリウム作品「暗やみの色」。テーマは "見えないもの"。メガスターが映し出す星空を眺めたあと、あえて何も見えていない「暗闇」に注目します。夜空を、赤外線や電波、X線など天文学の視点を借りて「見て」みると、暗闇も様々なもので満たされていることがわかります。そして、これだけ見えていても、私たちが見ているものとは、宇宙全体のなかではほんの一部に過ぎません。さまざまな手法で見えないものを見ようとする科学的なアプローチを通して、天文学と素粒子物理学のつながり、さらに、日常にも通じる"見えないもの"の存在感が感じられるはずです。(制作 2005年/上映時間: 約30分)
