WIRED VISION9月24日～MP3発明家、「レーザー＋煙」の高精度マイクを開発中より。以下引用。

MP3の基礎となった技術を含む音声関連の特許を複数持つ米国の発明家、David Schwartz氏が9月21日(米国時間)、レーザー光と煙を使って音声を記録する新技術『Laser-Accurate』を発表した。ダイアフラム(振動板)を使って音波を電気信号に変換する従来のマイクよりも、原音に近い高精度の録音が可能になるという。

おお、この原理、確かにすごそう。

記者曰く「50秒あたりから始まるパソコン上での再生音を聴いて、思わずずっこけてしまった」とあるが、確かにまだプロトタイプっぽいね～（笑）。でも、レーザーを使った録音（録画も？）は可能性高そう。

ちなみに、住吉の卒論は「パルス法を用いた音響インピーダンスの測定」です。音響研出身なのであった（笑）。
