少し前の記事だが、時事ドットコム06/04-08:48「旅行者に入国事前承認制＝ビザ免除対象国に来年１月から－米」。
以下引用。
米国土安全保障省は３日、観光や商用目的で短期間、米国に入国する場合にビザ（査証）が免除されている日本など２７カ国の旅行者は、来年１月１２日から少なくとも出発３日前までに同省がウェブサイト上に開設する旅行承認電子システムで入国を事前申請し、承認を得なければならないと発表した。
テロ対策の一環らしいが、手続きがまた増えるのか～という感じ。
このニュースは真実味がありそうだが、5月19日にエントリーした【Technobahn5月16日「米国税関が新制度を近くスタート、入国者が所持するPCのデータを丸ごとコピー」】は、旅行代理店の人に聞いたところ、誤報の模様。検討はされてるかもしれないけどね・・・。
