勉強ネタ

ブログでは、自分の書いたエントリー（記事）が、RSS（Rich Site Summary）として残る。そこには、エントリーのサマリー（要約）が記録されている。

次期Internet Expolerにも搭載される「RSSリーダー」を使えば、自分のお気に入りサイトの更新状況がすぐわかる、ある意味プッシュ型に近い形だ（厳密には違うけど）。

最近では、Webニュースメディアなどでも、ニュース配信情報をRSSで提供している。このような提供形態をRSSフィードと呼ぶ。

RSSフィードのお手本としてよく登場するワシントンポスト紙のWebサイトを見ると、下記のようなカテゴリー分類でRSS配信されている。

  • Top News
  • Politics
  • Nation
  • World
  • Metro
  • Style
  • Business
  • Technology
  • Health
  • Education
  • Real Estate
  • Opinion
  • Sports
  • Arts & Living
  • Newsweek

このカテゴリーの下に、さらにまた細分化されたカテゴリーが並ぶ。ニュース自体を、どのカテゴリーに入るか決めた上で、RSS配信しているわけだ。

カテゴリーを正しく分類して配信することで、正しく解析が行なわれるし、求めている人へ情報が届きやすくなる。RSSフィードも、やりかたにより優劣がでてくるわけだ。（ジョルスでもポータルサイト系の運営をしているので、参考にしないと）

ブログに話を戻すと、自分の書いたエントリーを、正しくWebログ解析してもらうために、分類も大切だ。通常のブログは、決められたカテゴリーを選択するが、このJASIPA社長ブログはカテゴリー指定を自分で自由に利用できる。

住吉自身も、いろいろカテゴリーを分けて書いているつもりだが、後で見直す必要があるかもしれない。

みなさんもぜひこの機能を使って、よいRSSフィードを目指してほしい。
